Khimki to be smashed by Real Madrid
This round, 2 teams without any victory will face in the Euroleague: Real Madrid and Khimki Moscow. Both of them are needing a good result in order to avoid a disastrous bad start of the season, but Khimki is not able to oppose any resistance at the moment. Zalgiris trashed them last week in Moscow and now it’s time for Real Madrid to do the same.
Khimki was considered from the beginning a strong competitor this season and actually, they have a valuable roster, but a series injuries combined with some Coronavirus cases reduced their roster at minimum. Last game they had only 8 players available which are not enough for Euroleague level. From these 8 guys, only 5 could do something on the court. At this moment Khimki has more valuable absentees than good players available. I mean, I am sure that the missing players of Khimki, like Shved, Monroe, Timma and so on would win against the remaining players of the team that will face Real Madrid.
The Spaniards are on the last spot in the Euroleague and for sure they are hungry to win. They proved already their dominant style in Gran Canaria where they humiliated the host team with 25 points margin. Even if “Los Blancos” have some injuries too, they won’t count almost at all against the Russian powerhouse. Real Madrid will have a comfortable win by at least 10 points, but there will be no surprise if they will destroy the visitors with 20-30 points margin.
