LeBron James showed his greatness

After more than four months of waiting, the NBA season resumed with two tough matchups: Utah Jazz vs. New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers. Both games were close, as Rudy Gobert hit the winning free-throws for Jazz, while LeBron James scored the winning putback for Lakers.

A few days ago, I wrote about Lou Williams and how his absence will influence the duel with the Lakers. However, the Clippers played great, so the game was very intense.

If we look at the stats, we can say that Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George were the best players on the court. However, LeBron James showed that he is the king during this game. Yes, George had 30 points, Leonard scored 28, and Davis helped his team with 34 points. But James was the one with the game-winning shot.

LeBron learned how to save his energy, how to play smarter, and how to help his team in different ways than scoring. He finished the game with 16 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block. Besides that, The King played very well in defense and got his teammates involved in the offense. Even though he had a shooting slump, he chased every ball and fought like crazy.

In the end, LeBron James scored the game-winning shot after an offensive rebound that showed his experience. At the next play, the Lakers’ superstar defended very well and prevented possible overtime or defeat.

Frank Vogel must be happy with the way that LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kyle Kuzma are playing right now. They are becoming a threatful trio, and they will fight for the title until the end.
