Limoges, Lions and U Cluj won as I predicted!
At the beginning of the week, I recommended on my private Telegram channel with basketball betting tips to take Limoges, London Lions and U Cluj-Napoca as winners of their games. Let’s see why:
- Limoges had very good odds and they were a team that improved their game in the last months. They started the play-in series of the BasketballCL losing by 4 points at Ludwigsburg and then in the second game they smashed the Germans by 20 points. One big advantage for the French side was that Isaiah Whitehead was released by Ludwigsburg in the days before this do-or-die game. Whitehead who was an important piece in the Ludwigsburg offense signed with Besiktas. Even if Luswigsburg had an amazing first quarter (36-16), at the end they lost in overtime and Limoges reached the Top 16 of the Basketball Champions League.
- London Lions had to win at Trento because the Italians are not a consistent team at all. During the weekend Trento was destroyed by Reggio Emilia, a team that was disappointing in BasketballCL. The Lions were coming hungry for victories after losing in a stupid way last week against Hapoel Tel Aviv. The English team is aiming to reach the best possible spot for the Eurocup playoffs and if all their injured players will be back, Lions is a dangerous squad.
- Last but not least, the Romanian side U Cluj-Napoca was coming after some disappointing games in Eurocup and they signed Jalen Jones to boost their offense. The American with NBA experience was very useful for Cluj-Napoca, which had a better quality rotation than their opponent, Cedevita. Now, with 8 foreigners on the roster, the Romanian squad could beat any team in the Eurocup.
