No player of Buducnost reached 10 points against Crvena Zvezda

In spite of the absences of important players like Joe Ragland and Stratos Perperoglu, Crvena Zvezda smashed Buducnost in the last game of the Aba League Finals. At the halftime, the game was done with the Serbian team having already a consistent and unreal advantage (47-21) which will be almost doubled till the end of the battle (97-54).

After being 2-2 in the previous encounters of the Finals, everybody expected a very tied game. I don’t know what happened. Maybe the Buducnost players were scared by the crowd who has thrown objects on them before the game? But they played like juniors against Crvena Zvezda. Let’s see some facts to understand better the dimensions of the disaster:

  • despite having fewer turnovers than Crvena Zvezda, Buducnost scored embarrassingly. Their percentage was hilarious: only 6/23 from the arc and even worst 11/39 at 2 points range
  • The Buducnost defense was extremely poor: they allow Crvena Zvezda 16/32 (50%) from 3 points line and 17/28 from 2 points.
  • 5 players of Buducnost finished the game with negative index rate
  • the margin of the efficiency was something never seen in a final game: 124-27 for Crvena Zvezda
  • no player of Buducnost reached 10 points scored, Cole Norris was close with 9 points
