Olimpia Milano and Olympiacos with one of the worst 2nd quarter in the history of basketball

In Euroleague derby between Olimpia Milano and Olympiacos, both teams failed in the 2nd quarter, one of the worst period in the history of basketball. The host team, with so many great shooters, with so much “run and gun” who usually provide a lot of points, was able to produce just 4 points in the 2nd quarter! Olympiacos scored 13 points and the game was tied at 23 at the halftime.

How is possible that these amazing players – paid with millions of euros, at the highest level in European basketball –  scored so low? 17 points together in the 2nd quarter?

The only explanation for this negative record is the horrible lack of constancy in Milano’s offense, the main reason for many lost games this season. After starting very strong against big teams like Real Madrid for instance, Milano was poor in scoring. Sometimes it happens in the 3rd or 4th quarter and yesterday happened in the 2nd quarter, but it can always happen when you play chaotic basketball.

About Olympiacos what can I say? This is their actual level since the team is full with so many mediocre players who can’t provide any efficiency. They are just running and consuming minutes on the court without any index rate!
