Michael Jordan

  Michael Jordan

It all started when the Bulls drafted Michael Jordan with their 3rd overall pick in 1984. Jordan made an impact from the first season, as he averaged big numbers like 28,2 PPG, 6,5 RPG, 5,9 APG and 2,4 steals-per-game. As a rookie, those numbers were not seen anytime in the history of NBA, and it was only the beginning of the greatest player to ever step on a basketball court. After his historic start, he slowed down a little in his sophomore year, averaging only 22,7 points-per-game, but that was not necessarily a reason to worry for the Bulls franchise, as he went on an averaged at least 30 PPG for 7 consecutive years, having the pin point at 37,1 in his third year… incredible. Michael Jordan won his first title in 1991, when he beat Magic Johnson’s Lakers in only a five-game series. Jumping right into the next season, he managed to win it again, but this time against the Trail Blazers, in a close series that ended in six game, after Jordan took care of business in the last game. Now it was the real challenge for him and the Bulls as they were trying to make history by winning the championship three consecutive times. In a Finals matchup against the Suns, who were led by Charles Barkley back then, they completed the “three-peat” by beating them in six games as well. Once again, people around the league were wondering if this is the best team of all time, led by the possible greatest player of all time. After Jordan confused everyone and took a break from professional basketball, joining the Minor League Baseball instead, he came back at full strength and made history again by winning 72 game in the regular season, cementing themselves as maybe the greatest team ever, at that time. As if it wasn’t enough for them, in the next year they did the repeat while they beat Utah Jazz in six matches. Jordan’s legacy was about to be nailed as the greatest of all-time when he did the impossible, possible, winning another title and completing the three-peat for the second time in his career.
