The Chicago Bulls have been domesticated

When we think about some of the best players and teams in NBA history, automatically Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls are crossing our minds. In the last 15 years of the previous century, Jordan managed to resuscitate an organization and a city that was being destroyed by violence and racism. After he retired, Chicago Bulls tried without success to stay at the top of the league. It wasn’t until 2011 when Derrick Rose was drafted by the Bulls that the club started to have value again.

With such an explosive player, Chicago fans started to believe that after almost 15 years of waiting, their time has finally come. Unfortunately, Derrick Rose got hurt so “the dream” was delayed. In the next year, Jimmy Butler became better and better so Chicago Bulls were starting to have a dynamic duo under the coaching of Tom Thibodeau. However, the medical problems of Derrick Rose continued so the Bulls never managed to get further than the Conference Finals.

At the end of the 2015-2016 season, Derrick Rose was traded to the New York Knicks, and in his place, the Chicago Bulls signed Dwayne Wade. This move came one season after Tom Thibodeau was fired by Gar Forman and John Paxson. In the2016-2017 season, Chicago Bulls managed to get into the playoffs and they actually won the first two games, but they were eliminated by the Boston Celtics. In the summer, the organization lost Jimmy Butler, its best player, Taj Gibson, Rajon Rondo, and Dwayne Wade.

Therefore, under the command of Fred Hoiberg, Chicago Bulls started a rebuilding process, winning only 27 games in the 2017-2018 season. They continued the slump in this year also so the management took the bold decision of firing Hoiberg. In his place was hired Jim Boylen, a very disciplined coach. In the third game with Boylen as the coach of the team, Chicago Bulls lost to the Boston Celtics by a margin of 56 points (77-133). So, currently, the Chicago Bulls stand on the last spot in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 5 wins and 23 losses.

However, in the last days, it seemed like Zach LaVine, their best player, and Jim Boylen got on the same page which is very important for the Bulls. Maybe this is the start of something great for the organization based in Chicago but it is hard to believe this knowing that Gar Foreman and John Paxson are still in charge of the team after all the bad decisions they took over the time.
