This is Virtus Bologna I’ve always expected

Before the game against Olimpia Milano, in the Italian Cup, the odds were unreal. The Euroleague powerhouse had 1.10 and some bookies gave Virtus Bologna 7.25 to win the battle. I trusted the underdog Bologna to win because it’s a great team and the Cup is a competition of surprises. It’s just a game where everything can happen. And for sure the ex-Milano player, Amath M’Baye had to be extra-motivated to win.

This is exactly the Virtus Bologna we all have been expected since they returned to Legabasket from Serie B. A team that can beat anybody. Not only in Basketball Champions League but as well in Italy. Their roster is deep, experienced and very athletic. They have the great potential to achieve big goals this season. If the referees won’t help Meo Sachetti’s Cremona in the semis, Virtus will be where it deserves to be: in the Italian Cup Final.
