Basketball Champions League Final 4 is the most dynamic in Europe
Basketball Champions League is the most democratic competition in Europe. Every year new teams are joining and they have the real chance to make history, reaching the last stage. Let’s take a look at the last two Final 4’s and you will realize that no team that participated in 2018 in Athens will be present this year between 3-5 May to compete for the title.
Last year the Final 4 included the winner AEK Athens, Monaco, Ucam Murcia and Ludwigsburg. This year 4 other teams will fight to lift the trophy: Virtus Bologna, Iberostar Tenerife, Brose Bamberg and Antwerp Giants. And what is more important: out of the Spanish team who won the 1st edition of the BCL, the other 3 teams are newcomers in this competition. Even more, Antwerp Giants played 2 rounds of pre-qualifiers in order to be included in BCL’s groups.
There is no doubt about the Basketball Champions League being the most open competition in Europe, who offers equal chances to all the clubs and all the countries to be there. It is not destined just for the rich clubs. It is for everybody!
