We inaugurate today another column of Brainbasketball: “Found on Instagram”, about funny, stupid or weird things relatd with basketball.
A Spanish fan sent us the “news” of Baskoniaworld: according to that page, the Euroleague powerhouse was signing Carmelo Anthony for the rest of the season. Of course, the news was just a joke, but a lot of people bit it and they were very excited about the transfer.
But, on the backstage of the fake news hide a cruel truth: to be a strong competitor for the Euroleague trophy, Baskonia need Carmelo Anthony, Nikola Jokic and Milos Teodosic, because the actual roster is an average one for the continental competition. Some new players have to come, in order to the Spanish team have a chance to enter the Final 4.
