Panathinaikos won a game away in Euroleague, after almost 4 months
Last time when Panathinaikos won a game away was on 2nd November 2018 at Buducnost. Yesterday at Gran Canaria after almost 4 months, they repeated this great performance smashing the host team with 99-80. It’s good that teams like Gran Canaria, Buducnost and Darussafaka exist in the Euroleague, because this way, teams like Panathinaikos can have some victories away. It’s the second win for Panathinaikos – a pure home team – from 11 games played away this season.
The game was good also for Georgios Papagiannis who scored last night 14 points, a career-high in Euroleague if we consider that previously in 16 games he had only 34 points.
Euroleague needs more teams at Gran Canaria’s level in order to Panathinaikos can make the playoff.
