Betting on Euroleague: Panathinaikos to beat Khimki

This week, Panathinaikos have a strong chance to get closer to the playoff. I pick the Greens to win because of the next reasons:

  1. Panathinaikos is a strong home team. They won just 1 game away the entire season, but in Athens, they seem to be dangerous for any team in the Euroleague.
  2. The Greek team has just won the Greek Cup and played just half of the final (because Olympiacos left the game), so they are not so tired. Sean Kilpatrick is in a good shape, Keith Langford is back from injury and I hope Adreian Payne will see more minutes on the court.
  3. Khimki has a lot of problems with the roster: Alexey Shved and Anthony Gill are injured, Garlon Green was fired by the team and I don’t think that is the right moment for them to beat Panathinaikos away. And if we take a look at the Russian team in the last games played in VTB League, we can see they are in bad shape: they’ve lost the last 3 games against Zenit Sankt-Petersburg, Lokomotiv Kuban and Unics Kazan.
