Banvit: wild and strong
Even without the injured key-players McKenzie Moore and Tolga Gecim, the Turkish side showed once again their level in Basketball Champions League.
The host, Ludwigsburg, last year one of the Final 4 participants, were ahead with 70-66 in the last quarter and they looked like a team in control of the game.
But Banvit bounced back with an incredible 15-0 run and nobody could stop them till the end of the clash. They came like a hurricane over the German squad, playing like a real team, moving the ball smartly and quickly and finding the opportunities for big open shots.
It was very important that in the most difficult moments of the clash, Banvit could rely on the young Turkish players who made an incredible game: Hazer finished with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 15 index rate and Ulusoy with 19 points, 5 assists and 19 on efficiency!
Let’s see if Banvit will have the same energy in the Turkish championship where they share the last position with the disastrous team Istanbul BBSK.
